export dbf to excel (group by procuct name) by using FoxPro 6.0

would you pls teaching me how to export data to excel which group by
type(that '+' before each column, i can click the '+' to expand or hide it)
by using foxpro 6.0

eg:
before:
- apple a1 3
a2 10
sub 13

- orange a1 9
a2 3
sub 12
after:
+ apple
sub 13

+ orange
sub 12

There a popular Microsoft ActiveX control that does that.
otv=CREATEOBJECT("COMCTL.TreeCtrl.1")
You can add it to a
VFP form, and you can add it to an Excel form.
The date needs a Parent and a Child column that shows to which parent node
each item belongs.
There are examples in VFP's Help. Look for 'Treeview'.

hi LL,

i think you're looking for =subtotal() function in excel. if i'm right,
then you have to use excel automation by reading each record in the table
then insert a =subtotal() when the group changes.
